Producing contract PCBAs doesn’t set us apart from other market players who also use state-of-the-art technology. What makes us different is the way we manufacture them, and the way we interact with our customers.

Gread Elettronica has been active in the contract electronics manufacturing market for 40 years, and based on that experience, we follow our own approach, the Gread Method, that always leaves our customers satisfied.

Customer satisfaction is the foundation of our method: it guides every decision we make. Everything is driven by this primary goal we set ourselves, which we achieve through a set of core process pillars.

Being at our customer’s side means understanding the requirements well from the outset, whether they are based on an existing project requiring only the manufacturing phase, or they require analysis, design, prototyping, industrialisation and production of the final products entirely.

Technical expertise

Technical expertise lies at the heart of Gread Elettronica’s entire production process: our technicians are involved in the design phase, and positively affect both industrialisation and production phases.

Everything we do begins with tangible realities: our customers’ needs and all required and available components. Products are designed in a production-oriented way, right from the start: we know the components inside out, and we know how machines and systems work.

There are no surprises along the entire journey, from concept to final product, and this is a huge commercial advantage for our customers, who can rely on predictable lead times and costs to develop their strategies and forecasts.

Internal testing

We have an in-house electromagnetic compatibility lab for pre-compliance testing that simulates the necessary tests carried out in certified laboratories before placing products on the market. We always verify our own designs and those developed directly by our customers to provide timely solutions when needed..

We can achieve this goal by constantly checking every stage of the production process: we do not carry out spot checks on boards, we check them all, one by one. We perform functional tests on 100% of the boards and, where required, we perform ICT testing using both flying probe and bed-of-nails fixtures.

 

A proactive approach

We understand the requirements and project characteristics, identify potential production challenges early, and address them with tailored solutions.

When we are also involved in the design phase, we choose components that reduce the risk of shortages and, when necessary to ensure production continuity, we suggest equivalent alternative components. This is possible thanks to Gread’s in-house know-how, helping our customers avoid sudden service or production downtime.

Seamless hardware-software integration

Integration is today and tomorrow’s watchword. We have the ability to develop in-house firmware and software fully compliant with the products’ hardware.

Traceability

Everything entering or leaving Gread Elettronica is tracked, down to the last detail.

Every board we manufacture has a unique Data Matrix code. Throughout production, we continuously add information to its traceability record, including production steps, test management, and the operators involved.
Every single component installed is tracked: we know where it comes from, when it was delivered, and its specifications. At any time, we can provide customers with the status of each board in the process—ensuring a certified process and reliable processing and delivery lead times.
